Pixel-Freak.com was founded in January 2012 to bring the highest quality unbiased reviews and information for smart device games. It is the unfortunate reality that many app and smart device game review sites sell positive reviews. In addition, these biased reviews are also half baked adding no additional value to readers regarding the quality of the games. Pixel-Freak.com was created to address the quality and ethical shortfall for smart device game reviews. It is our goal to provide the highest possible quality and provide the most information about mobile games in an effort to help our readers make good purchasing decisions and use of their time.

HD Video Reviews
We attempt to give video reviews whenever possible. In addition all our videos are shot using HD streams. We only use 720p+ screen captures for reviews unlike many competitors which capture over the shoulder videos at low bit rate standard resolutions. There are no fingers waving in our videos, no auto focus blurring the screen. Only clear audio and video captured straight from the devices, and professional studio equipment.

Professionally Edited Audio/Video
All formal video reviews have audio professionally written, captured, edited, and added to videos for the highest quality, clarity, and experience for our users.

Thorough and Purposeful Analysis
All apps and games are thoroughly examined before we review. We won't simply play a couple levels and add commentary for the entire app. We give due diligence to app makers which deserve at least this much.

No Clutter Apps
We only review apps and games that matter. We believe app developers that want to be taken seriously, should be taken seriously. As such, there are no plans to ever review fart apps, tic tac toe games, or soundboards. Our goal is to save you time by avoiding bad applications, so it makes sense to not waste your time with senseless reviews.

How We Rate Games
We use a 100 pt "pixel" scale. The basic break down of the scoring is currently the following:

0%-49%: You probably won't see this ever. These are the half of the games out there that are not worth talking about.
50%-59%: Highly recommend not playing
60%-69%: Recommend avoiding
70%-79%: If it's your cup of tea.... then maybe...
80%-89%: Recommended
90%-99%: Highly recommend playing (Game of the Year Material)
100%: The fabled "Perfect Game"
